2017 "Jarino" Lambs
Our Jarino lambs are a first time experiment for us this year. We plan to continue with the full Merino
breedings but wanted to see this year if the benefits of both breeds would be brought out and what they would look like.
Merinos being the larger breed, the cross has been made with Merino ewes to Jacob rams. Our goal in this cross is to
combine the exceptional wool quality of the Merino with the heartiness of the Jacob while adding other colors to the wool.
So far their wool appears very nice and we have a mixture of dark browns, blacks and whites.
